We were honoured and delighted to be the winner of the Wyre business awards for 2 consecutive years - once for Innovative Business of the Year (even though we are a charity and not a business !) And the following year for Community and Charity Organisation of the year. This thrilled us to be recognised locally for the work that we do in bringing tourism to Fleetwood..
It’s really nice to see local organisations like Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs getting recognised through the Wyre Business Awards, especially in the Community and Charity category. Awards like this don’t just highlight success but also the real impact these groups have on people’s lives, particularly when it comes to accessibility and inclusion. Knowing that the initiative helps individuals experience something as simple as the beach again makes the recognition feel well deserved . It also shows how strong community-driven projects can be when supported properly.
